Change Your Desktop Icons (for Macintosh)
An eye for icons
Looking for a simple way to add a little flair to your desktop? Changing your file icons is fun and easy to do, and can provide a great visual reference for your documents. And replacing the old graphics with new ones takes less than a minute. All it requires is access to some suitable computer artwork, a few clicks of your mouse, and a dash of creativity.
First, be aware of copyright regulations regarding any designs you may want to use for your new icons. Art on certain Internet sites is available free to the public, but most have stipulations that the art cannot be used commercially. Also, not all icons are changeable. Icons that represent servers or shared folders, for example, usually aren't open to retooling.
