Learn2 Find a Lost Pet

Fifi come home!

It's terrible to even think about the prospect of losing a beloved pet. Unfortunately, it happens all too often. Some pets get lost, some are taken in by another household, and sadly, some die. If your pet hasn't been seen for a while, and it isn't normal behavior for it to stay away long, you need to start organizing your search effort. Even if your pet isn't lost, these steps can help you prevent it from becoming lost.

Before You Begin

Take stock of your pet's habits. Does your pet have a favorite neighborhood haunt? If so, visit it frequently to see if your pet turns up. Is she or he a house or yard-bound pet? If so, think about what you would do first if you were in an unfamiliar area and not used to the noise of a neighborhood. Look in every potential hiding place you can find around your house, especially if your pet is a cat. It may be that it got stuck somewhere near your own front door. Is your pet pregnant? If so, she may have gone somewhere to bear her offspring in peace.
