Step 2Respond

Respond quickly to the crying. There's no telling what the reasons for your baby's crying until you investigate. And don't worry, it's practically impossible to spoil baby by rapid attention. The longer a baby cries, the more difficult the interpretation.

The obvious problems should be examined first, such as the full diapers (change), empty bottles (fill), or a full gas tank (burp). But once these have been evaluated, it's time to research.
